Why I love my Casio Men's PAW1500Y-1 Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Digital Watch August 24, 2010 Andrew R. Robinson Looking..for a watch that would capture my attention with appeal and style I noticed the PAW1500Y-1..etc. Not only was I searching for a watch that was innovative and impressive but it had to be an extension of my desire to be an invention that would be an bench mark in digital watches for the cosmopolitan consumer. Thankyou. Yours sincerely, Andrew R. Robinson I.
Weak Strap July 29, 2010 M. Latiff Nice watch but the strap doesn't compliment the watch. the strap is too thin and doesn't make the watch sit on your wrist well.
Alarm is too quiet to wake you up July 27, 2010 wks This watch looks great and has many interesting features, but the alarm is too soft to be easily audible, certainly not loud enough to wake you up, and this is, to me, an essential watch function. (The Casio PAW1500Y-1 alarm is certainly much softer than the Casio TS-100 I have been using to wake me up for close to 20 years - this pre-G-Shock model has kept time to within 20 secs/month and weathered 3 batteries and 4 band replacements, so I am loyal to Casio quality).
I like all the other features and they work well, but the barometer requires regular calibration to be useful. Since the altimeter depends on it, as the weather changes the altitude measurement goes up and down. This is fine for a pilot, who would calibrate the altimeter before take-off, but I live where (Vietnam), getting a calibration reading would require having my own barometer handy, and I certainly won't have one when I am traveling. Temperature measurement is only accurate with the watch off, which is not convenient. Unlike my old Casio TS-100, there is no on-the-arm setting (though the temp readings on this old model were never especially accurate).
Very cool watch, the PAW1500Y-1, but not practical enough for me.
perfect watch July 24, 2010 normal_guy this has everything i wanted in a watch and more. there isnt anything i am unhappy with. this should be your next watch.
In a word...Bulletproof. July 21, 2010 Bearcat (Ohio) I have owned the green and black version of this watch for almost 2 years. I bought this version as I love the all black design. I will talk about my experience basically owning this same watch (in a different color) for 2 years. In a nutshell this watch has been bulletproof for me. I have taken the watch all over the world. It has been used and abused both in the water and out and I have to say it has never skipped a beat. The time is always right on due to the atomic and every function has worked without fail. I can't recommend this watch enough. It has and continues to serve me well. Heck I have a Tag Heuer that cost $3k and I find myself wearing this watch more (outside of work). Highly recommended.
